Stale SHA-pins carried two fixed validator false-positives (k9 pedigree brace bug #7; a2ml identity check on typed/\*file manifests #8/#9). Bumps both to current main and adds github-actions to dependabot to prevent recurrence. Mechanical estate-wide sweep. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-authored-by: Jonathan D.A. …ady) (#295) ## Summary - Commits the decision-ready boundary memo into the repo as `docs/architecture/boundary-design-options.adoc`. - Companion to #294 (owner-ruling-required sub-issue under #273 gap (2)). ## Why in-tree The memo is the canonical reference for gap (2) of epic #273. Keeping it in the repo (rather than in `~/dev/repos/`) makes it reviewable, version-controlled, and discoverable from `docs/architecture/`. It is **explicitly marked OPEN** in a status NOTE at the top so no reader treats it as a ruled baseline. ## Contents - The hard finding (why the naive `VCL → SNIF → verisimdb` chain is physically impossible). - Shared prerequisite for Options A and C (wiring `verisim-nif` past placeholder + private-instance lifecycle). - Three coherent options: - **Option A** -- split (RECOMMENDED): SNIF for parse+check only, host-side NIF to private verisimdb. - **Option B** -- WASI SNIF: weakens sandbox, depends on unspecified WASI binding work. - **Option C** -- no SNIF on data path: in-process Elixir parser; fastest but loses the boundary property. - Comparison table + recommendation (A) + secondary parser-strategy ruling. - What sub-build (#7-equivalent) looks like under each ruling. - Evidence index citing `vcl-ut`, `snifs`, `verisimdb`, and `hypatia` source. ## What this PR does NOT do - It does **not** make the ruling -- that is the owner's call, tracked in #294. - It does **not** modify `docs/architecture/README.md` (PR #291 already touches that file with the togaf/mof rows; whichever lands second should add a single line for `boundary-design-options.adoc`). - It does **not** start any build work. Build issues spin off after the ruling lands. ## Test plan - [ ] Owner reviews the three options and rules on #294. - [ ] Owner spot-checks the evidence-index citations against `vcl-ut` / `snifs` / `verisimdb` source. - [ ] No code change; docs-only PR; CI just needs to be green. Refs #273, #294.
