Link gets social: friends hear each other, share their camera (or a GIF), starred friends play together, and friends' controllers vibrate in more setups.

Added

  • Friends hear each other. Each friend hears your mic and every other friend, never their own voice back. Stage viewers hear everyone.
  • Facecam. Friends press Cam on the friend page (after a note about who will see it) and appear as circles at the bottom left of the picture, with a blue ring while they talk. They can pick their camera, or a picture or GIF instead. You can turn a friend's camera off like muting a mic. The pictures go straight from the friend to your PC.
  • Stars. Point at a friend on the Link card and press ☆. Starred friends are remembered when they come back, get the controller without asking you, and if someone already has it they play together: everyone's buttons count and everyone's controller vibrates. Take back on a row takes it from that friend only; Ctrl+Shift+U takes it from everyone.

Changed

  • Controller overlay shows friends' presses together with yours, also when only a friend is playing.
  • Link card keeps one width, with fixed columns: name, ★, connection icon (P2P / Stage), a status slot where the sound wave shows while someone talks, and mic and camera buttons.
  • Friend page: mic volume slider, a picture or GIF instead of the camera, and Connect DualSense in Check devices when the browser can't vibrate the controller (Chrome/Edge, USB or Bluetooth).

Fixed

  • Friends connect in about a second again on PCs with extra network adapters (Tailscale, Hyper-V, WSL, VPN). Before, a friend could hang on "Connecting" for ~40 seconds or fail. If the direct path still isn't up in 8 seconds, the friend page goes through the relay by itself.
  • Keyboard and mouse taps always reach the game, and a friend's controller vibrates and works even when the page had switched to keyboard mode before seeing the controller.
