Pre-releaseNew Features
DLSS 5 NEURAL RENDERING — EXPERIMENTAL
Experimental DLSS 5 Neural Rendering is now integrated natively into VRMOD.
A new tab has been added to the mod menu, where you can enable and configure the DLSS 5 visual effects.
Touch to Interact
Devices can now be activated through physical contact. Place your palm on a terminal, elevator panel, computer, or car door to activate it.
Items and shards can be picked up by reaching toward them and squeezing the Grip button.
How to use: Place your hand on the object. For pickup items, squeeze the Grip button while your hand is touching them.
Jump Gesture
Raise both hands together from around your waist to shoulder height in one quick movement, and V will jump.
The gesture is designed not to trigger accidentally from the other hands-up gestures in the port: a basketball throw raises your hands higher, reloading brings one hand toward the other, and reaching for a holster uses one hand while holding Grip.
How to use: Mimic a small jump by quickly flicking both hands upward.
Enabled by default: Controls → "Jump by flicking both hands up"
Physical Crouch
Crouching down physically in your room will make V crouch. Standing back up will make V stand up again.
The system tracks your neck position rather than your eyes, so looking down at your feet will not be interpreted as crouching.
How to use: Recenter while standing, then enable "Physical crouch" in the Controls tab.
The "Crouch depth" slider below it determines how far you need to crouch. The default value is 0.30 m. Lower it if you play while seated.
Disabled by default.
X/A Swap
Interact and reload are moved to your right thumb, while jump is moved to your left hand.
Menus still use A as Confirm, vehicle controls are unchanged, and button presses generated by hand gestures are never swapped.
How to use: Enabled by default: Controls → "Swap X and A"
Turn it off to restore the vanilla control layout.
Haptics
Your controllers now provide haptic feedback in four situations:
- When a hand picks up an object
- When a panel is successfully activated
- When a hand sounds the vehicle horn
- With every shot fired from the hand holding the weapon
When holding a weapon with both hands, the support hand also receives a weaker haptic response.
How to use: Automatic. Nothing needs to be enabled.
Vehicle Horn Restored
The vehicle horn has been restored after being unavailable in version 0.1.5.
How to use: Place your hand on the center of the steering wheel, just as you would in a real car.
The horn will sound for as long as your hand remains there, and the controller in that hand will vibrate at the same time.
