Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Scanly ("we", "our", or "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Scanly handles information when you use our QR code scanner and generator application.
Scanly is designed to operate primarily on your device.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
Scanly does not require you to create an account to use the app.
Scanly requests access to your device's camera to scan QR codes and other supported codes. Camera access is used only for scanning purposes.
Camera images and frames used for scanning are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers by Scanly.
When you scan a QR code, the information contained in the QR code may be displayed or processed by the app. Scanly does not collect or transmit scanned QR code content to our servers.
QR codes generated by Scanly are created on your device.
Scanly may offer optional premium features that can be purchased through Google Play.
Payments and purchase processing are handled by Google Play. Scanly does not directly collect or store your payment card or financial information.
Google Play may process information necessary to complete and manage purchases in accordance with Google's own privacy policies.
Scanly may store app preferences and locally generated or saved QR codes on your device, depending on the features you use.
Such information remains on your device unless you choose to share or otherwise export it using functionality provided by your device or the app.
Scanly does not use advertising services.
If third-party services are introduced in future versions of Scanly, this Privacy Policy will be updated where required.
Scanly is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the application. Because Scanly processes QR scanning locally on your device, scanned QR content is not transmitted to Scanly's servers.
You can control camera access through your Android device's permission settings.
You can also uninstall Scanly at any time. Locally stored application data may be removed when the application is uninstalled, subject to your device's backup and storage settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
