Fixes a Steam copy being rejected with "this patch is for the GOG version". Also moves the port's settings into Hollow Knight's own options screens, so Dual Screen, Touch Controls and the whole mod menu now live where you would look for them, and adds a dual-screen switch and an update check to the launcher.
Using the Mods menu
Everything from the bottom-screen mod pane, in the game's own settings.
- Open Options → Mods.
- Pick a Group on the first row: General, World, Combat, Encounters, Charms, Economy or Save states.
- The rows below change to that group. Reset mods puts everything back to vanilla.
Changing anything here switches the mod engine on by itself, and the bottom-screen pane stays in step — both edit the same settings.
New
- Mods in the game's options, all 24 tweaks grouped on one screen, with the save-state slots as Save, Load and Delete rows.
- Dual Screen in Options → Game, and Touch Controls in Options → Controller, below Vibration. Touch controls offer Auto, On or Off; Auto shows the on-screen pad only when no controller is connected.
- Dual screen switch in the launcher, so it can be set before the game starts. On a device with no second screen it is shown but inert, and the port keeps everything on the one display.
- Update check in the launcher, run once in the background when it opens. Finding a newer release offers its page; nothing is downloaded or installed for you.
Fixes
- Fixed: a Steam copy rejected as "the GOG version".
