What's new

Daedalus 11.6.0 is a mainnet maintenance release focused on blockchain recovery, reliability, and dependency security updates.

New features

  • Blockchain recovery: Daedalus detects signs of missing blockchain data left by partial Mithril syncs in versions before 11.5.0 and offers to rebuild it from a complete verified Mithril snapshot. Rebuilding requires confirmation and replaces blockchain data while keeping wallets on the computer.

  • Diagnostics: a new Blockchain data row shows detected damage, including its slot and time. A Rebuild blockchain data button opens the rebuild confirmation even when no damage has been detected. Copied diagnostics include the new information.

  • Safer Mithril rebuilds: before deleting data, Daedalus checks snapshot availability and the destination folder, and checks free space when the required information is available. Failed or interrupted rebuilds retain recovery information and do not silently start syncing from genesis. Downloads stay on the blockchain data drive, and another network's in-progress download is protected when storage folders are shared.

  • Startup and download progress: if cardano-node writes nothing for five minutes while starting, Daedalus offers Restart Cardano node or Keep waiting. Mithril downloads also show when they are waiting for the network to return.

  • Linux: the portable .bin installer is deprecated but is still provided for this release. Preferred installation options are native Debian, RPM, and Arch packages, and the NixOS service included in the flake.

Bug fixes

  • Restore Send confirmation dialogs and fix transaction submission after Ledger or Trezor approval. Cancelling hardware preparation no longer interferes with another transaction, and transaction approvals retain their wallet ownership until submission finishes.

  • Restore the runtime configuration path passed by the watchdog when launching or restarting Electron, fixing startup failure before the Daedalus window appears.

  • Fix Windows and macOS packaging stopping before the Electron application is produced after the Node.js build-tool update.

Dependency upgrades

  • Electron upgraded from 41.3.0 to 42.11.14.
  • The upstream cardano-wallet backend upgraded to v2026-10-07. cardano-node remains at 11.1.3.
  • Node.js build tools upgraded to 26.12.1, TOML to 5.0.1, and the ZIP reader to yauzl 3.4.0. The build-tool Node.js version is separate from the runtime embedded in Electron.
  • Hardware-wallet, JavaScript, release CLI, and Nix build dependencies updated, with regression-tested dependency security fixes.

It is recommended that all Daedalus users upgrade to this version.

新機能

  • ブロックチェーンデータの復旧：11.5.0より前のバージョンでMithrilによる部分同期を行った際に残されたブロックチェーンデータの欠落の兆候を検出し、検証済みの完全なMithrilスナップショットから再構築する選択肢を提示します。再構築にはユーザーの確認が必要です。ブロックチェーンデータは置き換えられますが、ウォレット情報はパソコン内に保持されます。

  • 診断情報：新たに追加された「ブロックチェーンデータ」の項目に、検出された破損の状態と、そのスロット番号および時刻が表示されます。「ブロックチェーンデータを再構築」ボタンからは、破損が検出されていない場合でも再構築の確認画面を開けます。コピーした診断情報にも、これらの情報が含まれます。

  • より安全なMithrilによる再構築：データを削除する前に、スナップショットが利用可能かどうかと、保存先フォルダーの状態を確認します。必要な情報が取得できる場合は、空き容量も確認します。再構築が失敗または中断された場合も復旧に必要な情報を保持し、利用者に知らせずにジェネシスからの同期を開始することはありません。ダウンロードデータはブロックチェーンデータの保存先と同じドライブに置かれ、保存フォルダーを共有している場合も、別のネットワークで進行中のダウンロードが保護されます。

  • 起動とダウンロードの進捗表示：cardano-nodeの起動中に5分間出力がない場合、「Cardanoノードを再起動」または「このまま待つ」を選択できるようになりました。また、Mithrilのダウンロードがネットワーク接続の回復を待っている場合、その状態が表示されます。

  • Linux：ポータブル形式の.binインストーラーは非推奨となりましたが、本リリースでも引き続き提供されます。推奨するインストール方法は、Debian、RPM、Arch向けのネイティブパッケージ、およびflakeに含まれるNixOSサービスです。

不具合修正

  • 送金時の確認ダイアログを復旧し、LedgerまたはTrezorでの承認後にトランザクションが正常に送信されない問題を修正しました。また、ハードウェアウォレットの準備をキャンセルしても別のトランザクションに影響しないようにし、トランザクションの承認処理が、送信完了まで元のウォレットに正しく紐付いた状態を維持するようにしました。

  • Electronの起動・再起動時にウォッチドッグから渡される実行時設定のパスを正しく引き継ぐよう修正し、Daedalusのウィンドウが表示される前に起動が失敗する問題を解消しました。

  • Node.jsのビルドツール更新後、Electronアプリケーションの生成前にWindowsおよびmacOS向けのパッケージ作成が停止する問題を修正しました。

依存関係の更新

  • Electronを41.3.0から42.11.14に更新しました。
  • 上流のcardano-walletバックエンドをv2026-10-07に更新しました。cardano-nodeのバージョンは11.1.3のままです。
  • ビルドツール用のNode.jsを26.12.1、TOMLを5.0.1、ZIPファイルの読み取りライブラリをyauzl 3.4.0に更新しました。ビルドツールで使用するNode.jsのバージョンは、Electronに組み込まれている実行環境とは別のものです。
