3.3.9

• Changed: the instructions on the Menu Item Styling setting no longer say the cards can be dragged into order. The card handles were removed in 3.3.4, and the wording now points to the Live preview panel, which is where the menu order is arranged. Anyone translating the plugin should revisit this wording.
• Changed: the plugin's record of the menu items your site renders no longer keeps an entry for a custom menu item you have deleted. The record exists so that every item can be offered on the settings screen, and it grew a little each time a custom item was removed. Your custom items, their icons and colours, and your menu order are all unaffected.

• Fixed: on sites where Account Menu is the first tab under HivePress > Settings, opening Settings from the menu could show that tab with none of its controls working - no quick links, no live preview and no colour pickers, with nothing to say why. The plugin now recognises its own tab from what is actually on the page rather than from the web address, so it works however you reach it.
• Fixed: if another extension in this family also adds these controls to a settings tab, you could have ended up with two sets of them at once - two rows of quick links, two floating Save tabs, two back-to-top buttons. The extensions can now see each other's controls and only one set is drawn, whichever extension gets there first.
• Changed: the hover tooltips on the settings screen are wider, so a two-sentence explanation reads as a few short lines rather than a tall narrow ribbon of text.

• Fixed: a custom menu item added after the first no longer has its icon forced to black. Adding a row filled its Icon Colour box with black without you opening the colour picker, and saving kept it, so that item's icon ignored your Icon Colour setting and your theme. New rows now start with no colour, and a colour you did choose is untouched.
• Fixed: an account menu whose first item links to another website no longer sends visitors to the WordPress dashboard. Your account page sends people to the first thing in the menu, and an off-site link could not be used for that, so they landed somewhere they had no business being. They are now sent to the first item that is on your own site, or to your home page if none is. The off-site item itself is unchanged: it stays where you put it and still links where you set it.

• Changed: the Account Menu settings screen no longer contacts Google unless you are using the Sidebar Menu Font option. Previously it fetched that font from Google every time you opened the tab, whether or not the option was switched on, which told Google your IP address for no benefit. With the option on it still loads, because the live preview needs it to show you the real font, and the setting now says so.

• Fixed: dragging one of your own custom menu items in the Live preview moved it the wrong way. An item dragged to the top of the menu was saved to the very bottom, below Sign Out, and the preview showed it somewhere your site did not. Custom items now move exactly where you put them. Any leftover entries from this are tidied up the next time you rearrange the menu.
• Fixed: web addresses could be quietly damaged when saved. An address containing an encoded character, such as a space written as %20 or an accented letter, had that part silently removed, so the link went to the wrong place. This affected the Button URL on placeholder pages and the Custom URL on your own menu items. Addresses already saved are unaffected; re-save any that stopped working.
• Fixed: a menu item's saved position could be handed to the wrong item if one of your custom item rows had been left without a label.
• Fixed: a damaged "Hidden Items" setting could take the whole site down with a critical error. It is now ignored safely instead.
• Fixed: the plugin now records its own version correctly after an update.

• Fixed: each placeholder page's settings now sit inside that page's card. They were rendering underneath it, on the page background, so an opened card appeared to contain nothing and its settings looked as though they belonged to the section rather than to the page. Your saved values are unaffected.
• Changed: the settings inside a placeholder card are labelled "Icon", "Page text", "Button label" and "Button URL". The page name is on the card, so it no longer appears on every field as well.
• Fixed: placeholder cards are now the same width as the item cards elsewhere on the tab, instead of stretching with the window. They still fill the screen on a phone, as the item cards do.

• Added: "Empty Page Buttons" is now "Placeholder Pages", and each page has its own icon, message, button label and button URL, so an empty account page can be customised completely. Each page folds away behind its own heading. Anything you had set before is kept exactly as it was, and a field left blank keeps what that page shows today.
• Added: the placeholder page icon uses the same icon picker as the menu items, brand icons included, and follows the icon colour, weight and size settings in the Appearance section.
• Changed: the drag handles have been removed from the Menu Item Styling and Custom Items cards. The menu is ordered by dragging the Live preview, and a second set of handles that no longer ordered anything was only confusing. The collapsible headers and remove buttons are unchanged.
• Fixed: custom menu items now keep their identity when you delete or reorder rows. Previously an item was identified by its position, so deleting one custom item handed its saved place in the menu to the next one down. Existing items are updated automatically and keep their positions.
• Changed: Icon Colour and Text Colour now sit side by side in the item cards, so the cards are shorter. They return to separate lines on small screens.
• Changed: "Reset to default order" now asks for confirmation first, and says that nothing is saved until you press Save Changes.
• Changed: the quick links bar now opens with "Jump to a section:".
• Changed: clearer wording on the WooCommerce Integration checkbox.
• Fixed: the floating Save button now matches the real Save Changes button under every Admin Colour Scheme. It used to be painted with the default scheme's blue, so on Modern, Midnight, Coffee and the rest it was a different colour from the button it stands in for. The back-to-top button takes its colour from your scheme in the same way.
• Fixed: the tick on the mobile save bar and the arrow in the back-to-top button are now properly centred.
• Fixed: with the drag handles gone, the collapse arrow on each item card now sits at the left edge of the card instead of leaving an empty gap where the handle used to be.

• Added: drag any account menu item into the order you want, in the Live preview panel itself. Grab an item by its handle, or use the arrow buttons if you prefer the keyboard, and press Save Changes. The order applies to all three menus this plugin manages: the HivePress account dropdown, the HivePress account sidebar and the WooCommerce account sidebar. A "Reset to default order" button hands every item back to its normal position.
• Changed: the preview now lists items in the order your site really renders them, instead of the alphabetical order of the dropdown. Custom items sit where their Order box puts them, and the order is worked out by the same code that builds the front-end menu, so the two cannot disagree.
• Note: an account page added later, by an extension you install after arranging the menu, joins the end of the list rather than guessing a place for itself. Hiding an item does not disturb the position of anything else, and unhiding it puts it back where you had left it.
• Changed: the Order box has been removed from custom items, because dragging the preview says the same thing in front of the menu it changes. A number you set previously still decides where that item sits until you drag it, so nothing moves on upgrade.
• Added: with the WooCommerce integration switched off, the panel now shows two previews, one for each account menu, since that is what your site renders. Each lists only the items that menu actually has, and your custom items appear in whichever menus you assigned them to.
• Added: each preview folds away from its own header, the same way the item cards do, and remembers whether you left it open.

Chosen account menu items stay visible even when their pages are empty, and each empty page shows a helpful notice, icon and customisable button. Settings saved in the old plugin are carried over automatically, and a notice recommends deactivating it if it is still active.
• Changed: the two WooCommerce checkboxes (layout unification and menu merging) are now one "WooCommerce Integration" switch. It is on for you if either of the old pair was on.
• Added: the icon dropdowns now offer the Font Awesome 6 and 7 icon names and a set of brand icons (Stripe, PayPal, WhatsApp and many more). When a chosen icon is not in the Font Awesome files bundled with HivePress, the full Font Awesome library is loaded automatically so it renders.
