Zemax and Code V
ISETCam's ray trace optics model needs, as input, the geometric distortion, relative illumination, and a set of point spread functions (as a function of wavelength and field height) extracted from a lens design program. We have macros for extracting this information from both Zemax (OpticStudio) and Code V.
This material is from Xin-Yi Pan and Zhenyi Liu; see their GitHub repository for the scripts. The summary below is drawn from their Psych 276 write-up, also in that repository. Reach out to Pan or Zhenyi for more help with these tools.
The following sections are not yet written up here; see the linked repository for the current scripts and its write-up in the meantime.

We have validated that ISETCam's import of Zemax-derived data produces a rendered image that matches the one calculated directly in Zemax. A similar macro and validation exist for Code V.
