Complete prebuilt Windows x64 player release. Extract the player ZIP and run Install-Dawn.cmd; no compiler or source checkout is needed. Requires the existing archived Destiny 2 build 86657.20.08.23.1800.d2_rc. Game files are not included.

Changes

  • Reduce repeated large roster copies during mission updates in Deadly Trial, Beyond Infinity, Deep Storage, Gateway, and New Light.
  • Match roster groups by registry ID and object tag, preserving full validation. Fixes the key-only lookup regression that suppressed Beyond Infinity 03's roster and caused a flight timeout.
  • Retain the upstream New Light gate correction and mission-launch overlay.

Important installation warning

Every installation starts a fresh Dawn save. The upstream installer backs up previous Dawn folders and both DLLs under the game's .dawn/release-backups; it does not migrate your progress or settings. Close Destiny before installing. The installer also sets Windowed Fullscreen while retaining resolution, quality, and bindings; this display preference is shared by Destiny installations under the same Windows user. See the bundled READ-ME.txt for rollback instructions.

No publisher accounts, saves, caches, logs, game assets, or Restoration server are included. Runtime files come from the repository's release defaults, not the publisher's game folder.

Validation and limits

Release DLL built successfully. All five existing mission suites passed; the new lookup suite passed 1,829 checks, including the production catalog's shared-ID failure and ambiguity rejection. The original performance change received a successful user test. Live Beyond Infinity 03 verification of the v2 correction is pending; this is a pre-release, not a claim that every mission or network error is resolved.

The full matching Dawn source is supplied separately, including these changes, build scripts, third-party source, and license notices. Base commit: 3a8ec70cebe4d8f35d709b857efee897b70e41ad plus the 16-file mission lookup patch. Local toolchain: MSVC v143 14.44.35207, Windows SDK 10.0.26100.0, Release x64; upstream C4127 warning suppressed. Source projects retain upstream v145 defaults.
