Gargoyle User Manual

A field-by-field guide to configuring Gargoyle through its web UI. This covers ispyisail/gargoyle — if a page mentioned here doesn't match what you see, check whether your build includes the relevant plugin/feature.

Screenshots are being added incrementally; in the meantime every page below documents exact field names, labels, and behavior as they appear in the UI.

Getting started

• Supported Devices — is your router supported, and where to get firmware
• Basic Setup — WAN, LAN, WiFi, and Guest Network configuration
• Troubleshooting / FAQ — locked out after a save, forgotten password, WPA3 not connecting, and other real reported problems

Networking

• LAN VLAN Manager — split your LAN into isolated VLANs with per-port assignment and an inter-VLAN access matrix
• WAN Multi-VLAN — ISP triple-play (internet + IPTV + VoIP) VLAN tagging on your WAN connection
• DHCP / Known Devices — static leases, device naming, and Device Groups
• Port Forwarding — forwarded ports, UPnP, and DMZ

Firewall & Access Control

• Restrictions — time- and device-based access control
• Captive Portal — a login/splash page in front of your Guest WiFi
