MapleCompass 0.2.1
A small update to MapleCompass 0.2.0: a way to quit, and only one MapleCompass at a time.
Personal use only. MapleCompass reads map data live from NiaMeowDB (meowdb.com) under a personal-use arrangement; it must not be shared publicly until MeowDB gives written permission (ADR 0003). Using any third-party tool with MapleStory is at your own risk.
Changes
- Tray icon. While MapleCompass runs, the gold compass sits in the notification area. Click it for Help & setup or Quit MapleCompass: the one way to quit, whether or not the game is open. Before, it could only be stopped from Task Manager. Settings not yet saved are saved before it quits.
- One at a time. Starting MapleCompass while it already runs no longer opens a second copy: the running one shows itself instead, with its panel expanded, or setup when there is no game window to show the panel on.
Download (Windows 10/11, 64-bit)
| File | What it is |
|---|---|
MapleCompass_0.2.1_x64-setup.exe |
Installer (recommended). Installs for your user over 0.2.0, with a Start menu entry and an uninstaller. |
MapleCompass_0.2.1_x64_en-US.msi |
The same, as an MSI package (installs for all users, so it asks for admin rights). |
maplecompass-0.2.1-portable.exe |
No install: run it from any folder. Needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime, which Windows 11 already has. |
Quit the running MapleCompass (or end maplecompass.exe in Task Manager, for 0.2.0) before installing. The files aren't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say it "protected your PC": choose More info, then Run anyway.
See 0.2.0 for everything MapleCompass does.
