Fixed
-
"Configure your S-PIN" no longer appears when your S-PIN is already correct (#666). On a setup that pairs EU-Data-Act reads with the legacy two-way command channel, the command connector grabbed your S-PIN once when it started up — so an S-PIN you added or changed later through the integration's Options never reached it, and every lock/climate/charge command failed asking you to configure a PIN you'd already configured. The connector now reads the S-PIN Options-first at start-up and picks up a changed PIN live, without a restart. Thanks @torstentosh for the report and the testing.
-
Clearer errors for S-PIN and SEAT/CUPRA attestation walls (#666). A remote command that needs an S-PIN but has none configured now reports a clean "S-PIN required" instead of a raw traceback, and SEAT/CUPRA commands blocked by their AWS WAF are now correctly identified as a device-attestation wall (not a phantom subscription/renewal problem).
-
Reconfigure no longer aborts with "already configured" (#584). Reconfiguring an existing account (Settings → Devices & Services → Reconfigure) immediately failed with "This account is already configured", because the check matched the very entry you were reconfiguring. It now only refuses if you switch to a different account that already has its own entry — reconfiguring the same account updates it in place. That means you no longer have to delete and re-add the integration (which would regenerate every entity_id from the default device name and break your automations and dashboards). Thanks @Mattheisen87 for the precise root-cause.
-
Legacy Car-Net remote lock/unlock now targets the correct backend URL (#666). The MBB lock/unlock request was being sent to the wrong host and path shape (it dropped the brand/country and used the setter host), so on a real Car-Net car it would have 404'd. Corrected to the verified
{Brand}/{country}form on the vehicle's home-region host — the same shape our other Car-Net calls already use. Grounded against the myAudi/We-Connect app internals. -
The "open the brand app" button now uses each app's real link (#666). Several brands' deep-link schemes were launcher guesses (
wecharge://,myseat://,mycupra://,myporsche://,vwapp://) that didn't match the app; corrected to the schemes the shipping apps actually register (weconnect://,seat://,cupra://,porsche-app://,myvw://). Audi and Škoda were already correct.
Changed
- Porsche is now flagged experimental — its login may fail (#666). The fresh app teardown showed Porsche moved from the old My-Porsche (Auth0) app to Porsche One, which uses a completely different login (PingFederate device-grant). Our current Porsche login targets the retired Auth0 app, so it's expected to fail on current accounts. Rather than quietly advertise it as working, Porsche is now labelled experimental in the brand picker. The rebuild path is documented and confirmed feasible — it just needs a Porsche owner to help verify it end-to-end before it's switched back on. (Testers with a Porsche account welcome.)
Added
- The EU Data Act data request is now set up for you automatically — no more "device with empty entities" (#584). In portal mode the integration can only receive data once there's an active continuous data request on the VW EU Data Act portal. Until now you had to create that request yourself on the portal website first — and if you didn't (or it lapsed), you got a device full of empty entities and reasonably assumed the integration was broken. Now it creates the request for you automatically and, if data stops arriving, re-provisions it on the fly — so "no data coming in" self-heals. A one-time notification tells you when a request was created. You can turn automatic provisioning off under Configure, or trigger it yourself with the new "Create EU Data Act data request" button. (We're the only VW-EU Home Assistant integration that can create the request for you — the others require you to do it by hand.)
- Audi Car-Net owners can now enable the two-way command channel too — experimental (#666). The legacy command path (lock/climate/charge over the older Car-Net backend) was Volkswagen-only; it's now offered for Audi as well, since the underlying command catalog is identical and the brand routing is handled. This is experimental and applies only to older legacy Car-Net Audis (not the newer MEB/PPE e-tron generation) — it hasn't been confirmed end-to-end on a real car yet, so treat it as opt-in testing.
- New sensors for EU-portal cars: cabin temperature, HV-battery min/max temperature, charge-target time and profile user count. The latest round of Vehicle Data Scout reports (a VW ID.7 among them) carried a handful of signals we didn't map yet. If your car sends them in its portal data, they now appear as sensors. Everything else in those reports was already covered.
