It adds range-based vocal styling, better Japanese word boundaries, cleaner short instrumental cues, duplicate supplementary lyric cleanup, and a more immersive portrait view.

Richer and More Accurate Lyrics

  • Vocal styling for character ranges: Android now renders lead and background vocal styles and colors assigned to selected character ranges within a line, preserving the intent of lyrics with overlapping or alternating vocals.
  • Support for more sync granularities: Compact character- and word-level timing is interpreted correctly, and sync data is selected consistently for each track and provider. Both existing data and newer formats remain supported.
  • Better word boundaries for Japanese and unspaced lyrics: On-device segmentation improves word-level progress and wrapping for Japanese and other lyrics where spaces do not reliably mark words.
  • Cleaner short instrumental and effect cues: Short note-like markers are handled as part of the instrumental flow instead of being emphasized like ordinary lyric sentences.

Display and Translation Improvements

  • Navigation bar hidden in portrait lyrics: The Android navigation bar no longer remains visible over the full lyrics experience, leaving more room for artwork and lyrics.
  • No duplicate translation or pronunciation rows: Regenerated AI translation or pronunciation results are consolidated instead of appearing alongside stale copies.

  • One-time consent before token use: The first AI music research request now explains token usage and asks for consent before continuing.
