GitHub High-Star Optimizer v1.2.0

Distribution Mode

This release adds dry-run-first external distribution automation while preserving the project’s no-code-change and no-engagement-manipulation boundaries.

Added

  • Standard-library campaign publisher with dry-run as the default.
  • Explicit --execute --confirm <campaign-id> gate for live mutations.
  • DEV/Forem, Hashnode, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Discord, Slack, Telegram, and approved generic-webhook adapters.
  • Assisted copy/open queue for Product Hunt, Hacker News, Reddit, V2EX, Juejin, Zhihu, and other rule-sensitive forums.
  • Browser-assisted prefill guidance that can reduce manual work to final review/submit while preserving exact-destination authorization.
  • Credential references through environment-variable names only.
  • HTTPS enforcement, redirect refusal, credential redaction, bounded transient retries, per-target continuation, and maximum-target cap.
  • Persistent idempotency state that skips an already successful identical payload and blocks changed-content reuse by default.
  • JSON and Markdown results plus a local HTML review queue.
  • Reusable distribution manifest template and full automation reference.
  • Distribution capability synchronized across all 15 README languages.
  • Local behavior tests using simulated endpoints; no external platform was contacted during validation.

Boundaries

  • No target-project source code, dependency, build, test, CI, runtime, API, storage, permission, or behavior changes.
  • No automated Stars, votes, follows, reviews, comments, account creation, CAPTCHA bypass, or community-rule evasion.
  • Live destination setup still requires the user’s authorized accounts, tokens, webhooks, and exact campaign approval.

GitHub High-Star Optimizer v1.1.0 — cross-agent Quickstart and naming audit

GitHub High-Star Optimizer v1.1.0 — cross-agent Quickstart and naming discovery audit

This release makes the Skill portable across documented Agent Skills hosts and adds a complete repository naming and GitHub search discoverability workflow, without changing any product code.

Highlights

Codex, Claude Code, and portable Agent Skills setup

  • Added a canonical cross-agent compatibility contract based on the Agent Skills standard.
  • Added exact Codex and Claude Code personal/project locations and invocation syntax.
  • Added installer-assisted and manual Quickstart paths for Windows PowerShell and macOS/Linux.
  • Kept one canonical Skill package instead of duplicating platform-specific copies.
  • Clarified that host format compatibility does not guarantee GitHub, browser, image-generation, shell, or publishing capabilities.

Codex structure is locally validated. Claude Code’s official Skill structure and paths are documented, but this release has not been runtime-tested in a local Claude Code installation.

Repository naming and search discoverability

  • Added a 100-point naming scorecard covering user intent, natural wording, truthful scope, search-field coverage, distinctiveness, cross-host invocation, and rename cost.
  • Added dated live-query sampling for name, description, Topics, README, category, task, and ecosystem terms.
  • Added risk checks for prestige or manipulation-adjacent terms such as high-star, trending, and guaranteed-growth wording.
  • Added descriptive, scope-led, brand-plus-descriptor, and keep-current candidate families.
  • Added a rename migration map covering repository settings, remotes, Skill names, invocation examples, localizations, badges, releases, assets, packages, Actions, Pages, and external links.
  • Added a reusable NAMING_AUDIT.template.md.

The live repository has not been renamed. Naming analysis remains read-only until a user explicitly approves the final migration payload.

Public documentation

  • Replaced the vague three-step Quickstart with copy-ready Codex and Claude Code instructions.
  • Added docs/INSTALLATION.md with discovery verification and existing-installation safeguards.
  • Synchronized all 15 localized README introductions with cross-agent compatibility and naming/search capability.
  • Kept English as the canonical localization source; translated pages still await fluent human review.

Breaking changes

None. The Skill name and existing Codex invocation remain $github-high-star-optimizer.

Current limitations

  • Claude Code compatibility is based on its current official Agent Skills structure and has not been runtime-tested in this workspace.
  • Other hosts are described as format-compatible only; install locations and capabilities must be verified per host.
  • GitHub search samples are dated observations and do not guarantee future ranking, Stars, adoption, or launch results.
  • Localized READMEs have not yet been reviewed by fluent human reviewers.
