Drive Rescue Assistant v0.4.0 Beta

Tester prerelease

This beta is for controlled testing on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It adds selectable previews, extraction progress and ETA, safe cancellation, destination-space checks, partial-failure reporting, local JSON reports, and the approved Drive Rescue identity.

Please test

1. Open the app on a clean machine.
2. Use a disposable sample folder or a healthy test drive first.
3. Preview files, select a small set, and extract them to a different destination.
4. Try ZIP output and open the generated report.
5. Send the OS version, drive format, result, and a screenshot of any error.

Safety

Do not test repair, formatting, or deletion. Stop immediately if a drive clicks, grinds, or repeatedly spins down. This beta copies currently readable files; it does not recover overwritten data or bypass encryption.
