BrainShift 0.5.3 beta

BrainShift chooses a model, reasoning level and speed for each Codex task, then shows usage and lets you rate the result in one dashboard.

Choose the Mac app, Linux app or VS Code extension first. There is no required installation order, and adding another interface on the same computer reuses the same BrainShift history and settings.

Before installing

  • Finish active Codex tasks, then reopen Codex or reload VS Code after installation.
  • Mac support is Apple silicon with macOS 15 or later. The app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized, so the first launch may require System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway.
  • Linux support is x86_64 with a RHEL 9.8 build baseline.
  • Windows, Intel Mac, Linux arm64 and Alpine Linux are not supported by this beta.
  • Updates are manual during the beta.
