The native launcher now accepts Codex configuration flags that previously caused some lxplus sessions to open with an empty Codex sidebar.

Selecting an installation target now checks its installed version and the latest compatible release immediately. Remote-SSH checks honor custom VS Code server locations and verify the extension and backend separately.

Existing history on shared home directories is preserved and migrated automatically. Already-running older sessions can finish normally; BrainSelector keeps importing their final records while the new backend is active.

The one-task skip command now remains reliable after upgrading from an older desktop-routing setup. Use \skip; the previous BrainSelector spellings remain compatible. Finish an active Codex task before updating, then fully quit and reopen Codex or ChatGPT so the running router is replaced.

The macOS drag-to-Applications installer now opens with its complete 900 × 560 content area visible. Finder's title bar is accounted for separately, and the tool, path, tab, sidebar, and status bars remain hidden. If you downloaded the DMG before this correction, download it again from this release.

Feedback dropdowns also stay open when live usage data refreshes, and a rating selected while a refresh arrives is retained instead of resetting.

Use \skip anywhere in the prose of a task to keep your selected model. BrainSelector removes the command before submission and preserves the native model, reasoning, speed, attachments, and approval settings.

Inline code, fenced code, doubled backslashes, paths, and longer names such as \skip0 are left unchanged. The previous \brainselector_skip and \brainshift_skip commands remain compatible.

The dashboard hint, VS Code insertion command and shortcut, and public guide use the shorter command.

• It discovers the newest compatible public prerelease, rather than relying on GitHub's stable-only latest endpoint.
• It keeps app, extension, and Linux package versions separate.
• It verifies the signed release manifest, checksums, package identity, and the installed version before reporting success.
• It preserves the previous macOS app if installation or runtime validation fails.
• It supports the BrainShift-to-BrainSelector package migration and removes the legacy extension only after the replacement has been verified.
