BrainShift 0.6.0

This release repairs update discovery and installation for the menu-bar app and VS Code extension.

  • It discovers the newest compatible public prerelease, rather than relying on GitHub's stable-only latest endpoint.
  • It keeps app, extension, and Linux package versions separate.
  • It verifies the signed release manifest, checksums, package identity, and the installed version before reporting success.
  • It preserves the previous macOS app if installation or runtime validation fails.
  • It supports the BrainShift-to-BrainSelector package migration and removes the legacy extension only after the replacement has been verified.

Finish active Codex tasks, then reopen the menu-bar app and reload VS Code after updating.
