BrainSelector 0.6.1 beta
Pre-releaseBrainSelector 0.6.1 beta
Smaller Mac, Linux, and VS Code downloads, improved installation and verified updates, and startup and dashboard fixes. The existing brain icon is preserved.
Use \brainselector_skip to keep your selected model for one task. Existing history is reused when upgrading. Finish active tasks before updating, then reopen the app and reload VS Code.
macOS: Apple Silicon, macOS 15+. The app is ad-hoc signed; if first launch is blocked, use System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway. Linux: x86_64, EL9 build baseline; Linux desktop-client routing remains experimental.
Upgrading from BrainShift
Install this release once from the downloads below, or install BrainSelector by Jeremi Niedziela in the VS Code Marketplace. The old updater may reject the renamed repository's download addresses. Subsequent updates use the new BrainSelector feed.
In VS Code, disable BrainShift before enabling BrainSelector. Existing history and settings are retained. On Mac, replace the old app with BrainSelector.app and remove the old app shortcut.
