Hero Companion 0.12.17

A display-only release: everything here changes what you SEE and CONTROL, nothing changes the optimizer's model — champions remain v29-certified.

Customize the targets the solver chases

"Customize build targets…" opens an editor seeded from your chosen preset: typed AND positional defense, per-type resistance, recharge, recovery, regeneration, and max HP. Set a number to chase it, clear it to drop it — a resistance-primary set like Fiery Aura can finally chase 90% S/L/F resistance plus recharge and HP instead of defense-shaped preset thresholds. Custom targets persist with the save and can be kept as your own named presets. Honest labeling: a custom-target build is YOURS, never labeled as a certified champion build.

Preview Enhancement Boosters before you buy them

Every boostable enhancement's detail card carries a +1..+5 stepper — watch your real totals move level by level ("+3 reaches the soft cap, +4 and +5 buy nothing here"). Previewed pieces read "50+3" in a distinct preview color and are never saved as owned. Pieces that can't boost say why (attuned scales with your level instead; HOs/D-Syncs get strength from their own level).

Power Boost previews for real

Powers that amplify your other buffs (Power Boost, Power Build Up) get their own ⚡ preview chip: switch one on and your buffable defense and ToHit amplify exactly the way the game does it — effects the game marks "Ignores Buffs" are skipped, verified per-effect against the game's own data. Combine with one buff preview (Power Boost + Farsight) to answer the real question: does this build hit the soft cap in its burst window?

The totals checkbox now matches the game

Three honest states replace the old uniform checkbox: always-on powers show a lock (no off-switch exists in-game), toggles keep a checkbox (default ON — uncheck for a "what if Weave were off?" look), and timed click buffs get a preview toggle (default OFF, one at a time) with an honest uptime note at your build's real recharge. The endurance warning respects your choices and tells you when your checked toggles + attack chain outrun recovery.

The detail card grew into a real rail

The right-side panel scrolls on its own; every slotted enhancement carries a hover ⓘ straight to its full card; and both rail views are LIVE — slot a new piece of the displayed set and the roster chips and lit bonus tiers update in place. The power-info panel shows the merchant-style set view too: one set renders inline, mixed-set powers get one compact row per set with a next-piece hint.

Correctness

  • The same set piece can no longer be slotted twice in one power (the game doesn't allow it; now neither does the picker, and validation flags any build that arrives that way). Duplicates no longer conjure set-bonus tiers, and stackable globals like LotG +recharge respect the game's rule of five.
  • Running toggles that host global uniques now read "Global host — this toggle runs" instead of "Global mules."
  • Resuming a saved character restores its Content/Role picks (they used to come back empty, so a re-solve could silently run against different targets).
  • Set-bonus tiers the game grants but the totals can't count yet (slow resist, movement, range, mez duration) say "not yet in totals" instead of showing a bare name.
