Fixed: PowerVR framebuffer crashes (#91)

  • Fixed PowerVR framebuffer crashes, confirmed by the original reporter on Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd generation, 2023, AFTKRT / GE9215). The fix covers crashes during preset changes and while a preset keeps playing.
  • All supported Imagination/PowerVR devices receive the fix automatically. Identified GE9215 devices include Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st and 2nd generations), Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd generation), Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2025), and Google TV Streamer (4K). Other PowerVR devices also use the corrected path, including Fire TV Stick 4K (1st generation), Stick (3rd generation), Stick Lite, Stick HD, the Fire TV box (2nd generation), realme C2, Redmi 9A and Lenovo Tab M10 HD/FHD Plus (2nd generation); no per-model switch or patch is needed. fix: guard PowerVR preset changes and save native crash reports locally (#88)

  • Advanced › Last exit now shows saved native crash reports with available backtraces after restart. Reports stay on-device and can be copied or cleared.
  • Removed the Background compile and Shader binary cache troubleshooting switches. Normal compilation and caching are restored even if an earlier installation saved either option as Off.
  • Added an Imagination/PowerVR framebuffer-retirement workaround for preset changes and resizing. Confirmation of the reported Fire TV crash fix still requires testing on that device.

feat(moods): moods from static source analysis, Palette and Main colour, Predictor guide (#86)

  • Moods are now predicted from each preset's source code. Every Energy, Brightness, Colour, Movement, Style and Comfort option is worked out by static analysis of the preset's equations, shaders, shapes and waves instead of from one short test render. Options are only given where the prediction is confident (in-between options such as Balanced, Drifting and Normal need 80% precision in out-of-fold checks), so pools are smaller and more precise, and some presets carry no option in a group. Presets without an option still play when that group has nothing selected; reports about them help improve the predictions.
  • New Palette and Main colour filters. Palette plays presets that contain a colour family (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Pink); Main colour plays presets that are mostly one colour. Grey presets carry neither.
  • No strobe is stricter. Only presets the analysis is very confident do not flash are admitted, so the No strobe pool is much smaller. It is still not a guarantee against flashing.
  • The user guide has a new Predictor section explaining how moods are predicted, with accuracy per option and predictions shown next to real renders.

feat(core): platform-neutral preset knowledge pack reader (#82)

  • Internal: the core library gains PresetKnowledgePack, a reader for preset knowledge packs (source-only per-preset recipes: effects, audio reactivity, calibrated brightness and motion estimates, facets). It checks the pack and recipe versions and every SHA-256, reads the data in one streaming pass, and works the same in the app, in Milkbeat and in plain JVM tools. No pack ships yet and the app does not use it, so nothing changes for viewers.
