Modified KOReader, with credit to the KOReader, engine and Android launcher contributors and Ed Wei's InkSDK. Independently maintained; not an official KOReader release.

  • kalamos-koreader-generic-arm64.apk: standard Android stylus input, Android10+.
  • kalamos-koreader-bigme-arm64.apk: Bigme firmware pen/e-ink provider, Android10+.

Both APKs include the modified native engine/launcher and handwriting plugin: page ink, sticky notes, EPUB writing spaces, selection/eraser and lifecycle handling. They share org.koreader.launcher.debug; select one hardware variant. Bigme mode requires compatible Bigme firmware; generic mode uses public Android input.

Optional plugin ZIPs:

  • koreader-toc-share.zip: share TOC excerpts or whole-book text; also works on stock Android KOReader.
  • kalamos-handwriting-plugin.zip: matching Lua source/plugin package; requires the modified native engine/launcher. Already bundled in these APKs—do not install a duplicate copy.

Developer/debug-signed previews. Back up reader settings/annotations before changing installations. Owner-confirmed generic behavior on Huion Note E and earlier Bigme testing do not establish universal hardware support; no on-device testing was performed for this packaging revision.

The matching source bundle includes the integration, pinned upstream Git sources/submodules and third-party source downloads. Build instructions are included. The Android GLib runtime-path patch removes host staging paths from the dictionary binary. APKs include full licence notices; AGPL, GPL, MIT and component terms are preserved. SHA256SUMS.txt and signing fingerprints accompany the downloads.
