HyperForge 0.4.0 — NAV mode, first chords, safer Hyper
HyperForge 0.4.0
Local-first Hyper Key automation for macOS — Caps → Hyper, Space-layer nav, window snaps. No cloud.
Highlights
- NAV mode — floating NAV pill + menu bar icon when Space layer is armed
- First chords challenge — prove Hyper, Space+HJKL, and a window snap in ~10 seconds (onboarding, Dashboard, Doctor)
- Space layer reliability — wall-clock arming (works under browser load), browser/shell-aware chords
- Safer Hyper + Esc — Caps-alone Escape no longer blanks the screen; real session lock instead of display sleep
- Install —
./scripts/install.sh --updatere-signs with a stable id so Accessibility can stick across rebuilds
Install
- Download HyperForge-0.4.0.dmg
- Drag HyperForge.app → Applications
- System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → enable HyperForge
- Enable Karabiner Caps → Hyper (F18 or 4-mod)
- Menu bar flame → complete the three first chords
Requirements
- macOS 14+
- Apple Silicon (arm64 build)
- Karabiner-Elements for Caps → Hyper
Notes
- Ad-hoc signed (not notarized). Gatekeeper may warn once — right-click → Open, or allow in Settings.
- Prefer
./scripts/install.sh --updatewhen building from source so TCC Accessibility survives rebuilds.
