BC2VR 0.1.12 — singleplayer pre-alpha

This update combines knife corrections, opening story-text display and crouch
controls with the 0.1.11 launcher cache fix.

  • Opening encounter: an actual-game check using emulated controller input
delivered a blade jab and then showed Reach Trenches in the Objectives
screen during the same encounter, without a restart. This verifies progression
for that tested path; physical-headset knife handling remains unaccepted.
  • Opening story text: all three cards were reviewed in captured actual-game
pixels. Their physical-headset presentation remains unverified.
  • Controls: click and release the left thumbstick to toggle crouch. Hold Y
(the left secondary button) to sprint. Hold both stick clicks for one second
to recenter; that chord preserves the chosen crouch posture.
  • Installer fix retained: a dedicated launcher folder inside the game
installation can use its managed cache. Installing directly into the game
root or stock Dist/Package folders remains unsupported.

Both complete normal builds passed 294/294 automated suites on x86 and x64.
Package validation passed 12 checks; fresh-install, update, settings preservation
and rollback validation passed 18 checks using the actual installer and updater.

Close BC2 and use Check for updates → Install update, or run the new Setup
and select the existing launcher folder containing active.json. The update
preserves settings and retains 0.1.11 for rollback when updating from 0.1.11. There is no
need to reinstall the game. The changed preparation recipe may require a new
local asset cache on the next launch.

This remains an experimental pre-alpha. Physical-headset acceptance and a
complete campaign are unverified. Death/reload crashes have no accepted fix.
Multiplayer is unsupported, and the existing weapon, reload, scope, reconnect
and extended-play limitations remain.
