The first public release of High Command, an RTS mode for Risk of Rain 2: you are the commander, your army is made of real survivors driven by AI.

Install

  • r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager: download HighCommand-0.11.0.zip below, then Settings -> Import local mod.
  • By hand: unpack it into Risk of Rain 2\BepInEx\plugins\HighCommand\ (BepInEx and RoR2BepInExPack are required).

Then: Main menu -> Extra Game Modes -> High Command. Press F1 in game for every key.

Highlights of this version

  • Loot from the map: chests, shrines, printers and drones are back and paid from the army's purse. Right-click a chest and the nearest hero goes to open it; idle heroes open nearby chests by themselves when it is safe.
  • A real strategy camera: zoom to the cursor, a low cinematic view when zoomed in, Home resets the view, double Space follows the army. Rocks and roofs that hide a hero fade away, and heroes behind hills show as silhouettes.
  • Interface: an Items button, a Cancel button, commander abilities at the bottom centre.
