Defixus is a Fabric client-and-server mod for checking client-reported mod and resource-pack inventories against server rules. It also provides resource-pack change monitoring, operator/command notifications, Discord webhooks, and persistent statistics.
- Installation — compatible Minecraft builds and client/server setup.
- Server-Configuration — lists, verification switches, migration, and reload.
- Verification-and-Security — verification flow, hashes, decisions, and limitations.
- Discord-Integration — event webhooks and runtime console forwarding.
- Commands-and-Statistics — operator commands and stored reports.
Release history and version changes are tracked in the repository's CHANGELOG.md.
Defixus receives mod names, versions, hashes, resource-pack information, and the Minecraft version from the client. A modified client can always falsify its mods, so comparing the hashes is always a thing you should do for better security. That's why I implemented graylists in Defixus and not just a classical Whitelist / Blacklist mod-id system. Treat Defixus verification as a useful policy/enforcement signal, not proof that a hostile client is honest or a replacement for server-side gameplay anti-cheat like Vulkan, which I suggest you to use to decrease probabilities to let in hacked clients. block-pack-change affects the normal client interface and reported changes; it does not make a hostile client trustworthy.
