Configuration

Left-click the uxplay-windows icon in the Windows system tray to open the configuration window.

Available options:

• Enable Bluetooth Discovery — helps Apple devices discover the PC through Bluetooth.
• Open uxplay-windows at login — starts the app automatically when you sign in to Windows.
• Video Renderer — choose automatic selection, D3D11 or D3D12.
• Force Fullscreen — force the video stream in fullscreen. A D3D11 or D3D12 renderer must be selected.

Restart uxplay-windows after changing settings. Right-click the tray icon and select Restart.

Advanced configuration

Select Edit UxPlay Arguments (Advanced) to edit the arguments passed directly to UxPlay.

For example, to change the name shown in AirPlay:

-n Living-Room-PC -nh

Select List UxPlay arguments to view the available options. Invalid arguments may prevent the app from starting correctly.

For shared or managed PCs, administrators can create a machine-wide configuration at:

%ProgramData%\uxplay-windows\arguments.txt

When this file exists, it takes priority over the current user’s configuration.
