AVE 1.0.22 Release Notes

Status: Released.

Highlights

  • Added Buy AVE Pro and Have a license? Activate actions to the app footer for Free users.
  • Opened Account settings directly from activation shortcuts, scrolled to the license field, and focused it for immediate entry.
  • Added a subtle, dismissible Home reminder when a Free limit is reached, with the reminder returning after the next app launch.
  • Made the AVE Pro card easier to notice without overpowering Settings.
  • Replaced payment-provider terminology with clear AVE purchase and license language throughout the app.

Release Scope

  • Base range: fa49e88..e4ee64f.
  • Updated Electron Builder from 26.8.1 to 26.15.3 to incorporate current packaging security fixes.
  • No Local AI runtime, starter model, updater, bridge protocol, project format, or media-storage changes.
  • This remains a complete AVE package distributed through the existing signed Sparkle feed.

Verification

Release verification includes:

  • Confirming the Free-only footer purchase and activation actions stay hidden for AVE Pro users.
  • Confirming every activation shortcut opens Account settings with the AVE Pro license field visible and focused.
  • Reaching each Free limit, dismissing the Home reminder for the current session, and confirming it returns after app relaunch.
  • Full renderer and render-worker builds, typecheck, AI prompt checks, regression suite, dependency audits, package audit, signing, notarization, stapling, DMG integrity, and Sparkle signature verification.
  • Installing the exact DMG before publication and testing the update from the previously published full AVE build immediately after publication.

Known Constraints

  • AI-authored edits remain reviewable plans and can vary with the selected assistant.
  • The complete download remains large because it includes AVE's Local AI runtime and starter models.
  • npm reports a moderate Windows-only path-traversal advisory in an HTTP static-file adapter included by the MCP SDK. AVE is macOS-only and does not use that static-file server path.
