Obsidian Side Note v1.1.5

What's changed

• Fresh installs now ask for the Obsidian vault folder immediately on launch.
• If the folder picker is cancelled, the app opens Settings so setup remains visible.
• The selected folder still uses the existing security-scoped bookmark flow for durable sandboxed read/write access.
• README first setup instructions now describe the first-launch picker.

Why not Obsidian URI?

Obsidian URI can open, create, and search notes or open the vault manager, but it does not provide a reliable setup API that grants this app persistent filesystem access to the selected vault folder. The native Finder picker is therefore still required for local autosave/editing.

macOS Gatekeeper note

This DMG is signed for local distribution testing, but it is not Apple Developer ID notarized yet. If macOS warns that it cannot verify the app, use Finder -> Control-click ObsidianSideNote.app -> Open, or run:
