Obsidian Side Note 2.5 improves structured Markdown editing and window handling.

Changes

• Blockquotes now use a live left rule while the Markdown source stays editable.
• Shift+Enter stays inside list items and blockquotes.
• Continuation text aligns with the first line in bullet, numbered, and task lists.
• Inactive note windows can be dragged from the empty header area on the first press.

Verification

• The editor source and bundled JavaScript match byte for byte.
• All 126 unit and editor tests passed.
• The focused structural Shift+Enter test passed after the test fix.
• The UI test runner was retried separately. macOS timed out while enabling automation mode, so the four UI tests did not run in this release pass.

Obsidian Side Note v2.4

Obsidian Side Note 2.4 improves vault search and folder navigation.

Changes

• Exact filenames rank above partial and approximate file matches. Search accepts apostrophe variants, accents, extra spaces, and an optional .md extension.
• Word, abbreviation, and limited typo matching make files easier to find.
• The popup separates folders, exact matches, direct files, and files in subfolders. File rows show titles only.
• Enter selects a matching folder instead of opening a folder note with the same name. Add .md to select the note explicitly.
• Cmd+Down and Cmd+Up move between sections. Escape dismisses suggestions before closing the window.
• Indexing and matching run in background tasks. Older queries cannot overwrite newer results, and the silent 80-result cutoff is removed.
• Browsing search results preserves the active note and its save target.

• All 127 unit, integration, and UI tests passed, with no failures or skipped tests.

Obsidian Side Note 2.3 fixes macOS text replacements and adds support for Periodic Notes daily note names.

Obsidian prerequisites

The setup checklist references Advanced URI because it is the active community plugin for URI-based Obsidian automation. Append to Daily Note also expects Obsidian's Daily notes core plugin to be enabled.
