Obsidian Side Note 2.2 stabilizes live-preview editing, adds linked-note previews, and hardens vault and media handling.

Changed

  • Added clickable wiki and Markdown links with nested, nonactivating hover previews and a configurable delay.
  • Added source-preserving live presentation for bold, italic, highlight, inline code, headings, task checkboxes, bullets, and inline images.
  • Removed the horizontal layout shift between preview and raw bullet markers and aligned bullet dots precisely between the baseline and cap height.
  • Hardened vault path containment, selection persistence, settings restoration, login-item changes, and media imports.
  • Added typed media failures, remote download limits, content-type validation, structured logging, and bounded diagnostics.
  • Removed obsolete STTextView, MarkdownUI, and native Markdown-renderer paths now replaced by CodeMirror.
  • Split editor, window, vault, configuration, media, login-item, and logging tests by responsibility.

Verification

  • 106 unit and integration tests passed.
  • 2 UI tests passed.
  • Clean ARM64 Release build and strict code-sign verification passed.
  • The bundled editor matches the verified source bundle byte-for-byte.
