Obsidian Side Note 2.6 improves vault-file navigation and editor cursor behavior.

Changes

  • Command+L focuses vault search while editing a vault file.
  • Return and Tab open the selected file and return focus to the editor.
  • Tabs stay as real tab characters and display at four spaces wide.
  • Fixed stale cursor artifacts after deleting indentation on empty lines.
  • Fixed rare cursor rollbacks during autosave.
  • Fixed Command+Left and Command+Right navigation around live Markdown formatting and list prefixes.

Verification

  • The editor source and bundled JavaScript match byte for byte.
  • The full unit and editor test suite passed.
  • The ARM64 Release build is version 2.6, build 8.
  • ZIP integrity and strict code-sign verification passed, including after extraction.

Download

Download ObsidianSideNote-2.6.zip, unzip it, and move the app to /Applications.

This build is for Apple Silicon. It is ad hoc signed and is not Developer ID notarized.
