What's new since 0.1.0:

  • Call detection: when Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp, FaceTime or a browser call opens the microphone, the floating lozenge expands into a "Call detected" card with a one-tap Take notes button.
  • The lozenge now adapts to what is behind it: dark pill with light ink over dark content, light pill with dark ink over white pages.
  • The lozenge stays visible while a meeting is recording, even when Oats is frontmost.
  • New rich notes editor: working bold, italic, underline and strikethrough, plus font, text size and text color controls.
  • Screenshots land inline in the note, full width, with a one-click "Paste it below the image" offer for the text found in them.
  • Starting a new meeting always opens a fresh note.
  • In-app updates now check this repository's appcast.

Install: open Oats.dmg and drag Oats to Applications. Requires macOS 26+ on Apple Silicon.

Note: this build is Developer ID signed with the hardened runtime but not notarized yet, so Gatekeeper will warn on first launch. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
