Describe the bug
The LinksysNow UI session timeout is too short (less than 5 minutes), causing field technicians to be logged out and forced to re-authenticate 3-4 times during typical installation workflows, particularly during firmware updates of child nodes.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Login to Linksys UI
- Do nothing (remain idle)
- Observe automatic logout occurs in less than 5 minutes
Expected behavior
Session timeout should be at least 15 minutes to accommodate typical installation workflows, especially firmware updates which can take significant time to complete.
Device:
- Hardware: M60 (Pinnacle 2.0), M62 (Pinnacle 2.2)
- Version: All firmware versions
Additional context
This issue is causing significant friction for field installers who must repeatedly re-authenticate during installations. The timeout is particularly problematic during firmware updates of child nodes, which can exceed the current timeout window.
Related Issues:
Issue #3 describes a related authentication problem after timeout where correct passwords are not accepted. While #3 reports a 15-minute timeout with password rejection, this issue reports a <5 minute timeout causing premature session expiration.
