Repository navigation
v0.11.0
Immutable
release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
Breaking
- Repository Stores now live in your user data directory and survive checkout deletion; to migrate an existing Store from Git metadata, stop all tk processes, run
tk init, and keep old binaries stopped until migration and cleanup finish.
New
tk initnow shows recovery candidates for lost or moved Store associations, with--attach <Store ID>to reconnect or--newto start with a separate Store while keeping prior Stores intact.tk initautomatically repairs a uniquely identified Vacant Store when its former ownership is released and neither its database nor its backups contain user data.
Add the matching example to ~/.codex/config.toml (on Windows, %USERPROFILE%\.codex\config.toml), replacing YOUR_USER and YOUR_STORE_ID.
Codex specific instructions
Linux — default location; use your $XDG_DATA_HOME path if set:
[sandbox_workspace_write]

"/home/YOUR_USER/.local/share/tk/stores",
]macOS
[sandbox_workspace_write]
writable_roots = [
"/Users/YOUR_USER/Library/Application Support/tk/stores",
]Windows — single quotes keep backslashes literal in TOML:
[sandbox_workspace_write]
writable_roots = [
'C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\tk\stores',
]Run tk init in your terminal to find the database path and use its containing directory. If [sandbox_workspace_write] already exists, extend its writable_roots list, preserving existing entries. Restart Codex afterward.
These settings apply to Codex’s workspace-write sandbox. Configuration reference.
