v0.12.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Oct 06:41
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
fc9185b

New

  • --priority on tk add, tk update, and tk accept now accepts lowercase and bare ranks (p2, 2) alongside P2; the rejection message lists the accepted forms.
  • The Pi extension installs as a package with pi install git:github.com/lithammer/tk (add --local for one project).

Improved

  • tk list keeps a done Epic as context in every view when one of its Tickets matches, so grouped Tickets never lose their Epic; done Epics without matching children stay hidden.
  • man tk now documents every command, derived from the CLI itself, with extended behaviour and recovery guidance beside each.
  • Command-error prefixes on stderr follow the colour policy (NO_COLOR, CLICOLOR_FORCE, TTY detection), making failures easier to spot.

Fixed

  • The tk sync banner now colours Epic and Ticket Mutations with the right palette entry instead of guessing from the Display ID.

v0.11.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 14 Sep 11:09
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
4d1b9d5

Breaking

  • Repository Stores now live in your user data directory and survive checkout deletion; to migrate an existing Store from Git metadata, stop all tk processes, run tk init, and keep old binaries stopped until migration and cleanup finish.

New

  • tk init now shows recovery candidates for lost or moved Store associations, with --attach <Store ID> to reconnect or --new to start with a separate Store while keeping prior Stores intact.
  • tk init automatically repairs a uniquely identified Vacant Store when its former ownership is released and neither its database nor its backups contain user data.

Add the matching example to ~/.codex/config.toml (on Windows, %USERPROFILE%\.codex\config.toml), replacing YOUR_USER and YOUR_STORE_ID.

Codex specific instructions

Linux — default location; use your $XDG_DATA_HOME path if set:

[sandbox_workspace_write]
writable_roots = [
  "/home/YOUR_USER/.local/share/tk/stores",
]

macOS

[sandbox_workspace_write]
writable_roots = [
  "/Users/YOUR_USER/Library/Application Support/tk/stores",
]

Windows — single quotes keep backslashes literal in TOML:

[sandbox_workspace_write]
writable_roots = [
  'C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\tk\stores',
]

Run tk init in your terminal to find the database path and use its containing directory. If [sandbox_workspace_write] already exists, extend its writable_roots list, preserving existing entries. Restart Codex afterward.

These settings apply to Codex’s workspace-write sandbox. Configuration reference.

v0.10.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 12 Sep 10:34
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
9c3b17e

Breaking

  • tk update drops -m/--message and -F/--file; pass the title with -t and the body with -b or --body-file, and a title-only edit now leaves the body intact.

New

  • tk grep -l lists matching Items as <display-id>: <title> without context blocks.

Improved

  • tk prime now opens with a project briefing covering Scope, the next Ticket, active Items, the Plan, and Mutation counts, ahead of its command reference.

v0.9.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Sep 14:28
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
9c25270

New

  • Read views now label Items with Pending Promotion.
  • tk list now shows store-wide counts of pending, failed, and applying Mutations, even when the view is empty.

Fixed

  • tk list now separates Scope and sync banners from the rows below.
  • tk show now separates its first section from the header when the Item has no description or Closing Reason.

0cfa9ea

v0.7.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 04 Sep 15:02
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
49cccfb

New

  • tk detach keeps a Backend Ticket or Epic as local work without changing the Backend object, restoring its local Display ID, preserving Local Fields and relationships, and withdrawing the pending or failed Mutations that needed the Backend identity it removes.
  • tk adopt on a Backend object tk previously detached restores that same Item — its Display ID, Item Class, Local Fields and relationships — instead of creating a second one, and re-queues the relationships the Backend can now address.
  • The Repository Store is copied before any schema migration: tk writes a compacted Store Backup to .git/tk/backups/, keeps the newest ten, and refuses the upgrade with the store untouched if the copy cannot be written.
  • tk sync log, tk show and the tk list sync banner now colour the Mutation state, so the same Mutation reads alike on every surface that names it.

Improved

  • tk sync pulls Backend issues in batched requests scoped to the active working set instead of one read per issue.
  • A Backend close now reaches the Item even while a title or body edit is still pending, rather than waiting behind the unresolved content.
  • tk sync --help now says that skipping a failed close reopens the Item, un-resolves the Dependencies it was blocking, and returns an accepted Ticket to tk next.
  • A malformed Mutation payload is now reported with the Mutation's sequence and type, so the error feeds straight into tk sync log.

Fixed

  • tk start and tk stop on a Backend Ticket no longer queue a status Mutation the Backend cannot accept, and the upgrade cancels any already queued.
  • tk sync --skip on a failed closing Mutation now returns the Item to open, instead of leaving it done while the Backend object stayed open with no sync in either direction to reconcile them.
  • tk sync log now sanitizes the Backend-controlled failure and payload text it prints, so control bytes or escape sequences in a Remote's error message cannot emit colour or move the cursor.
  • tk --help prints the tool description instead of an internal doc comment.

v0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Aug 21:36
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
8120324

Breaking

  • tk next now prints <Display ID>: <title> by default, so scripts that capture its output must use tk next -q to keep receiving only the Display ID.

Fixed

  • tk next now reports output write failures instead of exiting successfully without producing output.

v0.5.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Aug 20:59
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
5f4a6f6

Fixed

  • Bug Tickets can now be promoted to personal GitHub repositories when GitHub returns no Issue Types and the repository has a bug Label. #51

v0.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Aug 15:07
Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.
9d092dd

New

  • tk promote now creates GitHub issues for Bug Tickets with a usable native Bug Issue Type, or an existing bug Label in personal repositories.
  • tk list and tk search now mark Items whose non-Promotion Mutations are pending or failed, and tk list names the Mutation that stopped the queue.
  • tk show now lists an Item's pending, failed, or applying Mutations, plus any skipped, cancelled, or abandoned ones.
