This release includes a few feature improvements and updates our pybind11 version.

  • PYB11Generator can now optionally generate multiple pybind11 C++ output files for a module to allow parallel compilation
  • The provided CMake rule has been updated to account for this new MULTIPLE_FILES option, which is OFF by default.
  • For developers there is a new feature that allows PYB11Generator to skip regenerating some C++ files if they are specially annotated. This is a dangerous feature and should only be used by developers trying very specialized changes to the generated pybind11 code.
  • The version of pybind11 PYB11Generator is bundled with has been updated to 3.01.
