Dewarr v0.2.0
Dewarr 0.2.0 adds the download clients, libraries, sign-in options, and request controls people asked for after the first release.
Pull ghcr.io/logabell/dewarr:v0.2.0 or latest, then restart. Back up PostgreSQL and the encryption key first. The container runs database migrations on startup and will not start if a migration fails.
New features
- Follow StoryGraph shelves and tags from a saved login, and keep those lists current without treating a book missing from a later page as a removal.
- Add slskd so Quick add can grab a clean Soulseek folder and import it from the mapped download directory.
- Connect Grimmory as a library so completed downloads can land in its folders and ownership stays in sync.
- Add SABnzbd and NZBGet so automatic grabs can follow Usenet indexers already configured in Prowlarr.
- Let accounts request books with approval, or start the download automatically.
- Follow an upcoming audiobook and start the search on its release day, including titles that are not on Audible yet.
- Let a download spend an owned MyAnonamouse Freeleech wedge.
- Map download-client paths Dewarr cannot see, including when the client is not running in Docker.
- Suggest missing books in series already linked to the library.
- Turn a multi-file MP3 download into one chapterized M4B before library import, and publish it automatically when chapter merging is on.
- Let file naming build Author / Series / Sequence Title paths.
- Sign in with an OpenID Connect provider (Authentik, Pocket ID, and other compatible providers) or a linked Plex server, without replacing local accounts.
- Follow request progress, release notes, and reading lists from the screens already in use.
Bug fixes
- Accept Windows Audiobookshelf library roots so the folder wizard can map the container mount.
- Attach a reviewed download to a catalog book that has no edition of that format, instead of leaving file review with no way forward.
- Allow commands over plain HTTP where
crypto.randomUUIDis missing, so an Audiobookshelf sync can run. - Join the StoryGraph and release-monitor database migrations so a container can upgrade.
- Keep library matches on the edition being shown.
- Record a follow for a book you already own instead of stopping with no release to watch.
- List requests when several copies of a work are linked.
- Keep the app usable when a session does not include a permissions list.
- Scan the library again before holding an import that the first lookup missed.
- Treat a withdrawn request as no longer wanted, instead of a declined download.
- A setup probe records the library version and fails only when a required library behavior is missing. An audiobooks-only library still fails the probe.
Improvements
- Download source settings stay collapsed until they are opened.
- Renaming the seeding copy inside qBittorrent is optional.
- Document the Hardcover token scopes required before connecting.
- Ship the discovery catalog inside clean checkouts and container images.
BookOrbit and additional metadata providers are not in this release.
