ForgeEmulation 1.6.0 adds a new play-session workflow and more ways to manage a local game library.
- Opt-in 10/30/60-second rewind, bounded to 64 MiB; available history varies with state/frame size.
- Hold Left Shift for silent 2x/4x fast-forward, step a paused frame with period, and pause on focus loss.
- Separate suspend/resume snapshots with SHA-256 checksums and game/core/version checks; undo the last successful state load during the active session.
- Bulk table editing for status, ratings, favorites, added tags and collection memberships, preserving existing notes and memberships.
- Reusable filtered views, 60-card pages and selected/current-view CSV export with private notes opt-in and no ROM paths.
- State/screenshot preview, checked export and recoverable removal.
- Content-verified moved-file relinking with a review preview, rechecked hashes and library revision, and transactional location updates that preserve saves/history and earlier locations.
Extract the Windows x64 ZIP and run ForgeEmulation.exe. Existing userdata remains local; back it up before trying new session features. Core binaries, pins, licenses and corresponding-source archives are unchanged. No commercial ROMs or BIOS files are included.
Validation: 123 Windows tests passed at 93.71% coverage. Ruff, strict MyPy, dependency audit and CodeQL passed. The exact-tag packaged gate passed frontend startup and all nine generated-cartridge targets, including separate suspend snapshots restored in fresh runtime processes. Package layout, core/source/license hashes and public asset hashes are checked before completion. Physical-controller gameplay, real user-owned cartridges, timing/audio quality and interactive packaged acceptance remain for hands-on testing. This release does not claim parity with mature multi-system frontends.
