Support for JXL in prebuilt binaries

Thanks for an awesome library! It would have been great with support for JXL in the pre-built binaries too 😄

What are you trying to achieve?

Being able to write/read JXL (Jpeg-XL) with pre-built binaries.

Requires libvips compiled with support for libjxl. The prebuilt binaries do not include this - see installing a custom libvips.

Nothing

What alternatives have you considered?

Continue using custom compilation of binaries.

We will go with custom built binaries for now. But as others have mentioned, the browser discussion is a bit of a chicken-egg problem and there is quite a bit of developer interest.

For example, it's (again) the top-requested feature for Interop:

For context, Chrome has changed its stance and is now working to add JpegXL support.
