qet-bench v0.2.0

Publication-hardening release for the exact two-qubit Quantum Energy Teleportation benchmark package.

Highlights

  • Reconciles package, citation, roadmap, and manuscript metadata around v0.2.0 / package version 0.2.0.
  • Adds a root repository README for public-review discoverability.
  • Adds qet-bench/docs/release_validation.md with hosted and local validation records.
  • Adds qet-bench/docs/vacuum_investigation_roadmap.md to separate publication hardening from future vacuum-accounting research territory.
  • Adds qet-bench/paper/rescience.md, a ReScience-oriented reproducibility manuscript source that explicitly names the reproduced two-qubit QET result.
  • Documents the optional Qiskit/Aer bridge smoke check while keeping the generated optional CSV out of the tracked artifact set.

Known follow-ups

  • A Zenodo DOI can still be added if the GitHub-Zenodo integration is enabled for this repository.
  • Final author ORCID/funding/COI confirmation is still needed before journal submission.
  • JOSS remains a later target until public-history and impact signals mature; ReScience-style reproducibility review is the near-term fit.

@f-gueguen f-gueguen released this 16 Apr 09:38

First reproducibility/software release for qet-bench.

This release provides the exact two-qubit QET benchmark package with:

  • canonical h=1,k=0.5 and h=1,k=1 energy ledgers
  • null-test diagnostics
  • deterministic parameter, noise, and angle sweep artifacts
  • controller/battery accounting diagnostics
  • artifact manifest linking CSVs/figures to scripts and tests

Local CI was run successfully because hosted GitHub Actions is temporarily blocked by organization quota/billing.

Local verification:

  • Python 3.11: pinned install, pytest, reproduce_benchmarks.py, make_all_figures.py passed
  • Python 3.12: pinned install, pytest, reproduce_benchmarks.py, make_all_figures.py passed
  • Test result: 22 passed on both Python versions

Scope: this is a reproducibility/research-software release, not a new QET physics claim or hardware result.
