Installer location fix

CleanZip 2.6.34 fixes an installer issue in 2.6.33 that could place the app beside an existing development or manual copy instead of /Applications/CleanZip.app.

  • The app and Finder service are now explicitly non-relocatable package components.
  • The installer always targets /Applications/CleanZip.app and /Library/Services/CleanZipService.service.
  • Packaging now fails automatically if PackageKit metadata enables bundle relocation.
  • Includes the native Finder-style table behavior introduced in 2.6.33.

Users who installed 2.6.33 should install 2.6.34 even if the earlier installation reported success.

The release includes a universal installer for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later, a manual-install ZIP, and SHA-256 checksums.

First launch warning

CleanZip is ad-hoc signed but not Apple-notarized. If macOS shows only Done and Move to Trash, open System Settings -> Privacy & Security, click Open Anyway for CleanZip-2.6.34.pkg, and confirm.
