Adding Obstacle Templates

A template is a multi-obstacle pattern in the Type dropdown, prefixed T-.

Place one like an obstacle: select a beat, Add Obstacle, pick a T- type, set parameters, Save. It expands into several obstacles across several beats.

The eleven patterns

Pattern	What it makes
T-Cascadefire	Bullets firing from one side with a set beat spacing.
T-Crossfire	Bullets firing from opposite sides at the same time.
T-Crosshair	A sequence of X and + shaped obstacles.
T-Diamond	A diamond-shaped border built from 1x1 Squares.
T-Diamond Seq	Diamonds that grow or shrink in size.
T-Pinch	Two Lines moving towards the centre from opposite edges.
T-Quads	Squares in each corner of the grid, one after another.
T-Spinfire	Four Bullets firing from the corners in a spinning pattern.
T-Stripes	Alternating stripes.
T-Travel	A Line that crosses the grid from one edge to another.
T-X	A diagonal X, or a 4-arm cross, built from 1x1 Squares.

Parameters

Field	What it does	Notes
Beat	The beat the pattern starts on.	Shown when editing. New patterns use the selected beat.
Countdown	Beats the warning shows before the pattern appears.
Countdown Beats	Same as Countdown.	T-Pinch and T-Travel.
Beat Spacing	How many beats apart the successive parts appear.
Delay	Beats to wait between the parts of the pattern.	T-Quads: the gap between corners.
Direction	Which edge the pattern fires from, or which way it rotates.	Right / Left / Top / Bottom, or Clockwise / Counterclockwise.
Orientation	Which axis the pattern runs along, or which shape it draws.	Horizontal / Vertical, or X / Cross.
Size	How large the pattern is.	Small / Medium / Large on T-Diamond and T-Spinfire; a number on T-Quads.
Version	Which variant of the pattern to use.	See the version table below.
Start Index	Which corner a corner-by-corner pattern starts from.	T-Quads: 0, 1, 2 or 3.
X Countdown	Countdown for the X half of T-Crosshair.	T-Crosshair only.
Plus Countdown	Countdown for the + half of T-Crosshair.	T-Crosshair only.
Plus Delay	Beats between the X shape and the + shape.	T-Crosshair only.

Version options

Option	Meaning
Normal	The pattern's default arrangement.
Offset	The shifted arrangement — reverse order, or the alternate rows and columns.
Grow	The diamond sequence expands outward from the centre.
Shrink	The diamond sequence contracts inward towards the centre.
Sequential	The two Lines of each pinch arrive one after the other.
Same Time	Both Lines of each pinch arrive on the same beat.
Sequential Opposite	Like Sequential, but starting from the opposite edge.
