Range Selection and Editing

makaroll edited this page Aug 18, 2026 · 2 revisions

Select a range of beats, then do one thing to everything inside it.

Selecting a range

There are two steps.

  1. Select Start Beat — click a beat on the grid, then press Select.
  2. Select End Beat — click the closing beat, then press Set Range.

Once both ends are set, the sidebar becomes Modify Range.

What you can do to a range

Action What it does Notes
Copy & Paste Copies the obstacles in the range to another beat. Duplicates on the target beat are skipped.
Cut & Paste Moves them instead of copying. Same duplicate rule.
Delete Obstacles Removes every obstacle inside the range. Asks for confirmation.
Mirror Flips positions and directions left ↔ right.
Rotate 90° Turns positions and directions a quarter turn clockwise around the grid centre.
Fever Time Marks the range as a fever section.
Repeat Replays the range later as a live link. See below.

A paste, move, or repeat that would run past the end of the song is refused.

Repeat

Repeat is a live link, not a copy. It replays the obstacles from beats A–B, starting at beat C.

  • Edit an obstacle in the source range and every repeat of it changes too.
  • Repeated obstacles show on the target beats as read-only ghosts, marked with ↻.
  • Removing a repeat removes the link. The source range is untouched.
  • A range with no obstacles cannot be repeated.
  • Repeats cannot overlap each other. If the selection collides, remove the existing ones, or pick a range that does not collide.
