Status Line
OpenSwap can add the current account name to your Claude Code status line. Off by default.
If you already have a status line, OpenSwap keeps it and puts the account name on the same row as the percentages (alias, or org name, or personal). If you do not have one, install prints just the account name.
Switching still happens in the extra or with openswap switch. The status line is glance only.
In the setup window’s extras, or Settings › General › This Mac › Claude Code status line. From a terminal:
openswap statusline --installThat writes statusLine in ~/.claude/settings.json. It does not change your Claude login.
openswap statusline --codexPrints the live Codex account label (from auth.json and the Codex roster). It does not wrap Codex config.toml; Codex TUI has no command hook.
The same switch, or:
openswap statusline --uninstallRestores the command you had before, or removes the status line if OpenSwap created it.
- Install once, then start a new Claude Code session (or wait for the next status-line refresh)
- The live login must be a saved OpenSwap account (
openswap list) - The switch shows off with a hint when the hook runs another copy of OpenSwap (such as an old uv install); turn it on to point it at this one
- Two orgs on the same email need aliases or org names so the line stays readable
