Rev lights from game telemetry

The wheel's rev LEDs now fill with engine RPM and flash at the limiter, fed by the game's UDP telemetry. Tools tab → Rev lights: switch, UDP port (default 5300), Test LEDs.

Supported formats:

  • Forza Horizon 4/5/6, Forza Motorsport 7/2023 — "Data Out" (Settings → HUD and gameplay), point it at this machine's IP and the port above.
  • BeamNG.drive, Live for Speed — OutGauge.
  • DiRT Rally 2.0, DiRT 4 — extradata=3 UDP telemetry.

The FFB meter and the rev lights can't share the LEDs, so enabling one turns the other off. LEDs go out 2 s after telemetry stops.

Force feedback tab

  • Try buttons next to every control play that effect for two seconds so you can feel what it does.
  • Rotation range presets: 270 / 360 / 540 / 720 / 900°.
  • Reset to defaults.
  • Tooltips explain what each force does to the wheel and which games use it.

Devices / status

  • Driver status line under the device selector: driver and version, a hint when the in-kernel hid-logitech is bound instead of new-lg4ff, and whether the combined device is active.
  • Devices tab: the status refreshes itself, explains oversteer-proxy.service when it isn't running (with the journalctl hint) and offers Start service.
  • The main window is resizable.

Fixed (pre-release review)

  • OutGauge shift-light flag was read from the wrong offset.
  • Profiles now start/stop the rev lights as saved; Devices-tab refresh keeps your ticks and no longer stacks timers; Start service no longer blocks the window.
  • Flatpak: the sandbox now shares the network so telemetry reaches the app.
