precise caption and audio controls while keeping the local-first shared
human/agent timeline model.

and source reveal make reused media easier to find and manage. - Kinetic captions can be created one word at a time.
- Clip-volume automation adds bounded, revision-safe gain points with
linear, hold, smooth, and advanced easing. - Asset generation can use the installed Antigravity (
agy) CLI for images,
alongside Codex image generation and Grok Imagine image/video generation.

editing menus more precise while keeping the local-first shared human/agent
timeline model.
Highlights

installed CLI exposes the required sandbox and non-interactive capabilities. - Contextual right-click menus target the item or timeline position clicked,
use compact action groups, and support keyboard access. - Bugfixes.

ShellX Cut v0.6.108
ShellX Cut v0.6.108
ShellX Cut 0.6.108 improves everyday editing feedback, recovery visibility,
agent choice, and release reliability. It keeps the local-first, shared
human/agent timeline model introduced in earlier releases.
Highlights
- Agent Chat now supports installed Claude Code, Codex, Grok, and Antigravity
CLIs. Cut checks that each agent is ready and leaves its existing login files
in place. - Recording Studio can test system audio before recording and clearly reports
when audio is silent or unavailable. - Output verification can rerun checks without replacing the original result.
- Custom speed-ramp curves add direct curve editing alongside the existing
speed controls. - Keyboard settings gain familiar shortcut presets plus profile import and
export. - Health & Recovery shows rebuildable cache usage and explains what cleanup
will affect. - Active jobs keep their controls after reload and show progress, queue status,
waiting reasons, and cancellation status. - Review history groups related edits so multi-step actions are easier to
inspect. - Bugfixes.

ShellX Cut v0.6.107
ShellX Cut v0.6.107
ShellX Cut 0.6.107 is a reliability release focused on recording, export,
updates, recovery, and local agent workflows. It keeps the same local-first
editor and shared human/agent operation model.
Highlights
- Agent Chat can launch the user's installed Claude Code or Codex CLI. Codex
uses the user's normal Codex configuration, native sandbox, permissions, and
authentication without copying or rewriting its configuration. - Recording Studio now preserves capture timing and recorded microphone/system
audio through auto-edit and export. - Settings > Health & Recovery now includes bounded, project-scoped recording
recovery status. - Windows recording supports ordinary deep project paths and reports an
unsupported path before starting a capture. - Upgrading from an earlier version requires downloading and running the
0.6.107 installer or package manually. - Bugfixes.
Install notes
- Windows: use
ShellX.Cut_0.6.107_x64-setup.exe. - Apple-silicon macOS: use
ShellX.Cut_0.6.107_aarch64.dmg. - Linux: use the

present. They do not fabricate successful output.
The app checks GitHub release metadata once at launch and then at a bounded
interval unless the preference is disabled. Installing an offered update still
requires a human confirmation.
Tester-line limitations
- Live camera capture remains unavailable in this release. Recording Studio can
still use an existing project-local camera file in its downstream auto-edit
and compositor workflow. - Linux screen capture deliberately reports the portal picker as
prompt-deferred until the user chooses a monitor; this allows Start without
falsely claiming that delivery was already verified. - Optional AI/model and authenticated-provider features require the user's own
configured tools, models, credentials, and quota.
The complete feature and agent contracts are in docs/public/FEATURES.md,
docs/public/DEBUG_API.md, and skill/shellx-cut/ in the source repository.
ShellX Cut v0.6.106
ShellX Cut 0.6.106
- In-app updates. Cut now quietly checks for new releases and shows an
Update button in the topbar when one is available — one click,
signature-verified, and Cut restarts up to date. Manual check and opt-out
live in Settings. Updating from 0.6.105: you'll be offered this update on
next launch. - Export: platform exports can now choose the footage profile for the
post-render checks, same as the Render menu. - Bugfixes.
ShellX Cut v0.6.105
ShellX Cut v0.6.105
ShellX Cut is an agent-first, local-first video editor where humans and agents
work through the same reviewable timeline operations. This is the first public
tester release.
Highlights
- Project-first onboarding: Cut opens on Projects, and dropping video, audio,
or an image with no project open creates a project and places the media on its
timeline. Timeline composition follows the first video; delivery settings
stay with export. - One public editing contract: 260 verbs across 32 domains, available through
the local REST API, CLI proxy, and generated MCP tools. - Reviewable agent editing with append-only operations, checkpoints, diffs,
guarded revert, render receipts, deterministic checks, and sampled review. - Refined Settings and Library surfaces for setup, storage, agent control,
media organization, health, relink, and growing cross-project collections. - Native editable Generate plus verified ShellX Motion round trips, live
caller-scoped Motion job status, and last-good rendered fallbacks. - Transcription, captions, text-based edits, dubbing, diarization, recording,
verification, batch delivery, social bundles, and common interchange/export
formats. - Signed Windows installer and updater payload, notarized Apple-silicon macOS
build, and Debian/RPM packages for Linux. - A disclosed GitHub update check, enabled by default and switchable under
Settings > Storage & privacy > Network activity.
Install
- Windows x64:
ShellX.Cut_0.6.105_x64-setup.exe - macOS Apple silicon:
ShellX.Cut_0.6.105_aarch64.dmg - Debian/Ubuntu x64:
ShellX.Cut_0.6.105_amd64.deb - Fedora/RHEL-compatible x64:
ShellX.Cut-0.6.105-1.x86_64.rpm
SHA256SUMS.txt contains hashes for every uploaded release asset.
Important tester notes
- Cut's Debug API and MCP proxy are loopback-only by default and intentionally
have no API token. Do not expose them directly to a network. - Optional subscription CLI agents and providers use the user's own installed
tools and credentials. Agent review/revert is not an operating-system
sandbox; readSECURITY.mdbefore enabling unattended control. - Live camera capture is not included in this release. Existing camera media
can still be imported and used by recording auto-edit workflows. - Provider-backed generation, dubbing, review, and local AI runtimes are
optional and may require separate setup.
