Building and testing Add In

This document explains how to build and test an Excel Add-In for comnsense.

Work in Visual Studio

Solution for the add-in: comnsense/comnsense.sln. To work with comnsense.setup.wixproj you need to install Wix toolset 3.10.*.

Debugging

If you have a 2010 version of MS Office, you need to edit comnsense.csproj. Search for OfficeVersion and change Office version and path from 15.0 to 14.0:

Building installation package

The installation package is generated with "Build -> Publish comnsense". This will create a folder called "Publish" that has a setup.exe file. Distribute this folder to a test machine and run it.
