This is the hardened updater release and supersedes 1.3.0 and 1.3.1.

  • Adds Download & install, Download only, and Not now choices inside Magic Capsule.
  • Shows live download percentage and bytes instead of an indefinite downloading animation.
  • Durably persists the DownloadManager job before the app can be backgrounded or terminated.
  • Resumes queued, running, paused, stalled and completed downloads across app recreation or restart.
  • Explains failed and missing jobs and provides cancel, clear and retry without orphaning stale jobs.
  • Recovers legacy saved-download metadata created by the previous updater.
  • Verifies the exact GitHub asset size, both SHA-256 values, product/package/version identity, and Android signing continuity.
  • Hands verified automatic downloads to Android's installer and guides unknown-source permission without claiming installation succeeded.
