Adding support to send OBSTACLE_DISTANCE_3D messages would be great to integrate with Ardupilot's built in OA. Currently there is support to send the more traditional OBSTACLE_DISTANCE message however not the Ardupilot specific OBSTACLE_DISTANCE_3D. Working on a PR to add the message support
